Providing Safe Affordable Housing
and Supportive Services for Homeless Veterans
The Principle Focus of the Delaware Center for Homeless Veterans, Inc. (DCHV) is to
provide Housing First and supportive services for homeless Veterans, men and
women, and Veterans’ families. By providing Housing First and ending a
Veteran's homelessness and supplying them with supportive services that they
themselves identify as services needed to combat future homelessness, we fully
support their goals to obtain recovery, economic self-sufficiency,
independence, and community reintegration. We feel our priority of Housing First
plus supportive services is ideal for implementing a strategy aimed at
converting homeless Veterans who are unemployed to persons who contribute to
the well-being of their community.
DCHV was formed to meet these
objectives. The Executive Committee members are aware of the importance of
their roles and participation in building our housing and programs in order to match services
to homeless Veterans.
In summary, the Delaware Center for Homeless Veterans,
Inc. is building on its accomplishments of 2013.
